UVA is typically known for their intense defense, which ranks #2 in the country only allowing opponents to 59.5 points per game. Offensively they only average 71.1 ppg; however, they are very efficient shooting the 8[SUP]th[/SUP] best in field goal percentage. They are led by Malcolm Brogdon, who averages 17.8 ppg, but they do a very good job of spreading the ball around. Miami comes into this one off a loss at UNC, but before that game rattled off five straight wins including one against a tough Notre Dame squad. They are led by star Sheldon McClellan who averages 15.8 ppg, and is expected to be drafted in this years NBA draft. Jim Larrañaga is a great head coach, and he has been a big part in their success so far this season.
